Minutes of Parish Meetings
Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting - October 2003
1.
Police
The Parish Council was advised that a resident of Girton had been approached
by two men who demanded a large sum of cash in return for some poor work
to his chimney stack. Would residents please remain vigilant for bogus workers
and not pay for building work (particularly not in cash) until the work
has been completed to their satisfaction.
2.
Litter Picking
The Parish Council is delighted to announce that someone has come forward
to pick litter regularly around the Recreation Ground. The monthly organised
litter picks will continue and the next one is scheduled for Saturday 29th
November between 9am and 12 noon.
3.
Damaged Play Equipment
A decision was taken to repair the play equipment
that was recently damaged by fire. It was hoped this would happen in the
very near future.
4.

If anyone is interested in helping to plant daffodil bulbs throughout the
village, will they please contact the Clerk, or Councillor P Starling. Thank
You.
