Community Education
The 2003/2004 Community Education brochure is now available and offers something for all tastes.
In keeping with our status as a specialist Language College we have a wide programme of language classes from beginners upwards. Students might like to choose from Holiday French for the traveller, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese or German and for the more experienced, the opportunity to study for an OCN qualification in French or Spanish.
For playgroup and nursery workers we will be offering the First Aid for Carers course at various times throughout the year, while OCN Creativity for Carers is a fun arts and crafts course aimed at carers of adults in residential homes and day centres, or a homecare environment.
The newly equipped computer suites at Impington are a relaxed environment in which to study all levels of computing, from complete beginners to CLAIT and ECDL. For the more practical student we have lots of opportunities to get 'hands-on' with Painting and Drawing, Woodwork, Lacemaking, Flower Arranging, Garden Design, Jewellery Making, Patchwork or Pottery. Something new for us this year is an afternoon class in Pilates as well as our ever popular Yoga or Ballroom Dancing evening classes for beginners and improvers. If none of these take your fancy, then how about trying Cheese Appreciation, Building Your Own PC, Film Studies, Houseplants Made Easy, Wildlife Gardening or Wine Appreciation?
