Girton and Oakington & Westwick are served by different bus services.
- 5 – Cambridge-Bar Hill-Northstowe
- 6 – Cambridge-Girton-Oakington
- U1/U2 – Biomedical Campus-Cambridge-Girton
- A/B – Cambridgeshire Guided Busway
All services are provided by private companies (Stagecoach and Whippet). These companies have to register to provide bus services with the Transport Authority (Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority) and tell the authority of their route and timetable. The Transport Authority do not determine route or timetable, and do not fund the services, except in exceptional circumstances.
Many residents have raised concerns about the current state of bus services in our villages, especially with recent changes to services. In this form we intend to collect residents experiences and needs for the current bus services in order to try and ensure that the bus companies provide services that meet residents’ needs.
