Eddington Ave will be completely closed to road traffic.
Where is it happening?
At the Huntingdon Road end of Eddington Ave, up to the sports pavilion
Why is it happening?
Utility connections for houses in Eddington
How will I be affected?
Cars and buses will not be able to pass through in either direction. The U1 & U2 will terminate at Eddington Square and not serve Girton Corner. Cars will be diverted via Huntingdon Road and Madingley Road. Pedestrian and cycle routes will remain open.
Huntingdon Road roadworks
When is it happening?
From Mon 28th Oct to Fri 1st Nov, 09:30 to 15:30, daily – providing that the weather is acceptable.
What is happening?
Multi-way traffic lights and cycle lane closure on Huntingdon Road.
Where is it happening?
On Huntingdon Road, between Thornton Road and Eddington Ave.
Why is it happening?
Installation of flexible “wands” on the cycle lane, to protect cyclists from drivers straying into the lane.
How will I be affected?
All journeys along this road likely to be slightly delayed. Cyclist may have to join main carriageway for a short stretch. Note that this in the school half term, and will take place outside the usual morning and evening rush hours.
