Councillor Douglas de Lacey

Having taken early retirement from the University I joined the Parish Council in 2006.

I have been an ‘Independent’ member of the District Council for 13 years, the last three as Chair, but resigned in 2021 for family reasons.

My wife and I have lived in Girton for nearly 40 years, and our children both went through the Glebe and enjoyed their time there. I have had an allotment for over 20 years; I sing in a large local choir (Choir 2000), and occasionally preach in St Andrew’s church.
