Married to Jane, have lived in and around Cambridge for over 45 years, moving to Girton in 2009 and joining the Parish Council in 2011 becoming vice-chair and then the chair of the Sports and Recreation Committee.
Became Council Vice-Chairman in 2014, and then served as Chairman for 7 years from 2015 to 2022. Currently still Chairman of the Trustees of Girton Village Institute and a member of The Social Club. Member of Girton Musical Theatre, (chorus tenor and mean painter of “bricks”!) and the Girton Green Team.
Enjoy most sports, sadly watching rather than actively these days, and DIY and gardening challenges.
Before taking early semi-retirement in 2007, worked in Industry as Research and Development Director for a HealthCare company. Still involved in part time Consultancy, Chair a British Standards Institute Committee and participate in the work of a CEN Standards Working Group.
