Thank you to Everyone who came along yesterday to enjoy the Coronation Sunday celebration at Girton Recreation Ground.
It is estimated that over 400 people attended yesterday which really captured the spirit of ‘The Big Lunch’ with people coming together both inside our pavilion and outside in the sunshine. The choice of food available was excellent. Thanks to all the local traders who attended.
An amazing afternoon helped by the weather. Thank you also to What’s Next Band and all of our Recreation Users for providing entertainment and activities throughout the afternoon. Also to Ariel Cahn for his beautiful singing.
Don’t forget there are still our two competitions running, our Coronation Treasure Hunt throughout the village,
We also really hope that you will continue the spirit of this weekend as part of ‘The Big Help Out’ to help us find a logo to show the spirit of Girton.
There is still an opportunity to borrow litter picking equipment throughout today. If you wish to do so, equipment will be available outside Girton Pavilion.
